Hello! I’m Dahlia, a photographer based in Tasmania, documenting motherhood and family life in a way that feels honest, nostalgic and full of feeling. My photography is all about connection over perfection. I love the messy bits. The cuddles that turn into chaos, the windswept hair, snack breaks, muddy feet, babies clinging to mum, kids running wild, and all the in between moments that actually feel like your life. Most of my sessions are relaxed and slow. We chat, wander, cuddle, play, chase the light and let things unfold naturally. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but I never expect your family to perform for the camera. I know how quickly these seasons pass. One day you are rocking a newborn to sleep, and somehow the next they are missing teeth and too big to carry. That’s why photography means so much to me. It’s not about perfection, it’s about remembering the feeling of it all. When I’m not photographing families, you will usually find me spending slow days on our little acreage in the Tasmanian countryside with my partner Brad and our German Shorthaired Pointer Remi, gardening in our flower patch, watching sunsets, and soaking up the kind of moments I love capturing for others. And when we can, escaping in our van for a little adventure somewhere new. While I am based in the North East, I am available for travel across TAS, and AUS,
